Restaurant charges ‘vomit fee’ for customers who have too many mimosas at brunch

Unlimited mimosas just got more pricey.

California restaurant Kitchen Story implemented a “vomit fee” for boozy brunch-goers who go overboard on the champagne and juice combo.

“Dear all mimosa lovers, Please drink responsibly and know your limits,” the San Francisco establishment reminds guests.

While the 60-minute unlimited mimosa deal brings in a crowd, the restaurant is tired of the vomit that trails behind after diners have chugged several drinks.

“Some people enjoy and have fun and speak so loud and try to party on the table. They get so happy and drunk they can’t control it,” Chaiporn Kitsadaviseksak, Kitchen Story co-owner, explained to the Mirror.

As drunk guests stumble to the bathroom, they’re greeted with a warning sign.

“A $50 cleaning fee will automatically be included in your tab when you throw up in our public areas. Thank you so much for understanding,” followed by a smiley face to sign it off.

Bottomless brunch has become a popular attraction for many restaurantgoers looking for an excuse to drink the day away, but the explosive vomit accidents were “happening a lot.”

Kitsadaviseksak revealed the fee deterred many people from overindulging in mimosas and since then, nobody has thrown up in the eatery.

Another restauranteur, Steven Choi, admitted his challenges from the excessive champagne drinkers during the pandemic.

“It became a very sensitive issue for customers and staff having to clean up,” he added.

Choi believes the fee makes people more conscious about how much they’re drinking: “It’s there to make the customers stop and think about other people.”

Aside from messy clean-ups, bottomless brunches have contributed to some questionable scenarios, such as a woman who knocked out her front teeth after guzzling too many mimosas.

In the viral video, the boozed-up brunch lover climbs onto a friend’s shoulders outside the restaurant as a pal proclaims, “Oh s—t!”

The footage then cuts to her with missing teeth, bloody gums and a scratched-up chin.

She updated followers in a follow-up video, saying, “I’M FINE!! They put the teeth right back in and put glue across my whole upper row of teeth!”
