Eagles postgame show slams Jets coach Robert Saleh: ‘Can’t stand that guy’

The NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcast crew had plenty to say about Jets head coach Robert Saleh after Gang Green ended the Eagles’ unbeaten season with an upset win at MetLife Stadium

The Eagles Postgame Live team sounded particularly salty after the win when it came to comments made by Saleh during his press conference from MetLife Stadium.

Host Michael Barkann tossed to a clip of Saleh talking about the “gauntlet of quarterbacks” the Jets have faced in the first six weeks of the season.

“Through these first six weeks, we’ve played a gauntlet of quarterbacks,” Saleh said. “And I know we haven’t gotten all wins, but we’ve embarrassed all of them.”

That comment didn’t seem to sit well with Barkann.

“I can’t stand that guy, I’m just saying. I hope I’m not out of line,” the NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcaster said after the clip ended.

Later on, when another member of the panel acknowledged that the Jets defense did embarrass quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, Barkann agreed before back tracking a little bit.

“Well did they, or did he embarrass himself? Or the offense embarrass themselves?” Barkann said.

The win sent the Jets into the bye week with a 3-3 record and plenty of hope surrounding Gang Green after a monumental win over one of the NFL’s best teams.

Saleh wasn’t wrong either about the talented QBs that the Jets have faced through their first six weeks.

They’ve squared off with Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Mac Jones, Patrick Mahomes, Russell Wilson and Hurts.

Hurts threw for 280 yards and three interceptions against the Jets.

After their victory Sunday against the Eagles, Robert Saleh and the Jets enter their bye week at 3-3.

“Just really, really proud of the defense and its resolve,” Saleh said. “About breaking the snap out of an excellent game plan. Down three corners, four of our six corners. I thought our D-line was good in terms of keeping that kid in the pocket. He’s a handful – Hurts, their O-line, their receivers.

“I thought our guys battled all the way through.”
