Kiyan Anthony, son of Carmelo and La La, inks underwear NIL deal

Rising basketball prospect Kiyan Anthony may not know where he is going to college yet, but he already has his first marketing deal.

Anthony, the son of former NBA star Carmelo Anthony and actress La La Anthony, has signed an NIL deal with PSD underwear, the brand announced Thursday.

“I am very excited for my first-ever partnership with PSD. It’s more than just a partnership; it’s a
collaboration that represents my style and my love of basketball. Together, we’re going to redefine
what it means to be comfortable and confident both on and off the court.” Kiyan Anthony said in a statement.

Other PSD athlete endorsers include Ja Morant, Jimmy Butler, Trae Young, Marshawn Lynch, Bronny James and Tyler Herro.

Anthony is a junior at Long Island Lutheran High School and is the 41st-ranked player in his national class, according to ESPN’s latest recruiting rankings for the class of 2025.

Anthony’s collegiate offers include Syracuse, Michigan, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Florida State and Seton Hall, according to 247 Sports.

In July, Anthony told The Post that his goal is to reach the NBA.

While this was unsurprising given his pedigree, he revealed that it was actually a relatively new goal, as his prowess on the basketball court spiked in the past year or two.

“The NBA wasn’t in the picture [a year ago] because I didn’t know how good I was and I didn’t know how good I was going to be,” Anthony said at the time.

“Once I started going to work out and play with my AAU team, I realized, ‘Oh this is actually fun,’” he continued.

“When I got to high school, I didn’t think I was really good, but this past year I took a big leap and now I feel like I can compete with the best in the country.”

Carmelo, a proud father who has been working daily with Kiyan in the gym, corroborated the story.

“Things are all starting to come together for him and formulate the way we had a plan for him,” Carmelo told The Post in July.

“Now he has his confidence, and he’s playing against bigger and stronger guys, and he’s playing very well. At this age, it’s all about how you feel as a young man — your confidence and mentality — and I’ve seen those rise the past five-six months.”
