Cowboys vs. Chargers player props, pick: Justin Herbert can’t hide from Micah Parsons on ‘MNF’

Week 6 of the NFL wraps up at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., as the Cowboys look to bounce back after a subpar effort in last week’s loss at San Francisco.

Dallas just can’t figure out San Francisco as the 49ers defeated the Cowboys, 42-10.

The Niners knocked the Cowboys out of the playoffs the last two seasons and handled them again last Sunday to drop Dallas to 3-2 on the season.

Now, the Cowboys travel south in the Golden State to Los Angeles to face a Chargers team off the bye week, seeking their third win of the season.

The Lightning Bolts started the season at 0-2, but bounced back with wins the last two games against the Vikings and Raiders.

Cowboys vs. Chargers prediction

(Monday, Oct. 16 | 8:15 p.m. ET, ABC/ESPN)

From a props betting perspective, we’ll focus on Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and his passing yardage prop of 274.5.

Herbert was banged up two weeks ago in L.A.’s win over Las Vegas but is good to go tonight.

However, he has not eclipsed his passing yardage number in two home games against the Dolphins (229 yards) and Raiders (167 yards).

Dallas’ defense hasn’t allowed more than 252 passing yards in any of its first five games.

Granted, the Cowboys faced the likes of Daniel Jones, Zach Wilson, Joshua Dobbs, Mac Jones and Brock Purdy, all of whom aren’t in the same class as Herbert.

Betting on the NFL?

Herbert threw for 338 yards when he faced the Cowboys two seasons ago, but this is still a high number considering how well Dallas’ pass defense has been this season.

The Pick: Justin Herbert Under 276.5 Passing Yards (-110, Bet365 Sportsbook)
