Notre Dame fan boldly trolls Caleb Williams over fingernails after storming the field

A Notre Dame fan had a message for Caleb Williams after the Fighting Irish handed USC a lopsided 48-20 loss on Saturday night in South Bend.

The scene after the game was chaotic as fans stormed the field and one person boldly charged right up to the Trojans QB to troll him.

“Let me see those nails now!,” the brazen fan yells at Williams.

The unknown fan, who posted the video to social media, repeated the phrase several times while two USC football staffers tried to usher Williams off the field and push the fan away.

The video ended with the fan bumping into a Notre Dame player and celebrating with him on the field.

It was unclear if the fan had been simply trolling Williams for painting his fingernails or specifically over the message he had painted onto them ahead of last year’s meeting between the two teams.

Photos from the Nov. 26, 2022 meeting showed that Williams had painted “F–k ND” onto his nails.

Williams, the reigning Heisman Trophy winner, has been known to paint his nails regardless of how other people have viewed it.

He revealed in a TikTok video that it was something that he had started while he was in high school.

“It started, I’d say now three years ago, it was my last year of high school,” Williams said in a TikTok for USC Athletics. “My mom does nails, so it started off there, and she’s done it for my whole life. So it’s kind of always been around me and then, nobody else does it. I like to kind of do new things. I don’t really care what people have to say about it.”

The USC quarterback didn’t look too happy after he walked off the field on Saturday, and for good reason.

He had an ugly night completing 23 of 37 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown, while throwing three interceptions and getting sacked six times.
