Gunman shoots, wounds ex-girlfriend, her new beau inside NYC apartment building: cops

A woman and her boyfriend were shot and wounded inside their Brooklyn luxury apartment building on Monday — and cops suspect her ex-lover is to blame, police sources said.

The couple were ambushed by an armed man inside the 16-story tower known as “The Arch” on President Street near Rogers Avenue in Crown Heights around 8 a.m., according to police.

The gunman blasted the 27-year-old woman — believed to be his ex-girlfriend — in the left foot, and shot her new beau, 31, in the right foot and left thigh, cops and the sources said.

Both victims were taken to the Kings County Hospital Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the building, which showed the gunman — who ran off after the shooting — wearing a yellow hoodie and yellow pants, sources said.

The NYPD didn’t immediately release a description of the suspect, and no one had been arrested by late afternoon.

The shooter fled the scene and had not been arrested by the afternoon.

The victims live at the posh address, where apartments go for upwards of $5,000 a month in rent.

The building was constructed just last year, according to a StreetEasy profile, which boasts its “expansive amenities” and “panoramic views.”
